Rosie says:
Growing up in Walker, I know the challenges our community faces. I’m very proud of our community in the east end of Newcastle and Wallsend, but I want to take bold action to put us back on the map. That’s why I have a three-point plan to:
- Make every school good or outstanding within five years, so our kids have the right skills to get on in life. I’ll do that by bringing in education specialists to drive up standards.
- Secure more high-skilled jobs for local people. I’ll get more investment in training to give people the skills they need for the new industrial revolution on the Tyne.
- Restore police beat walks to get the police into our area so we can feel safe at home. I’ll do that by hiring more police in addition to the 705 the Conservative government has already hired locally.
If you elect me, I will never take you or your views for granted and will work hard to ensure our area is an even better place to live.
